AmeriCorps at Glenwood

Glenwood is so pleased to welcome our first AmeriCorps member! Dwayne Bartley is serving Glenwood as a part-time Preserve WV AmeriCorps member.  His duties primarily involve digitizing Glenwood's extensive archival collection. 

 

Dwayne is a West Virginia native hailing from eastern Kanawha County.  A former VISTA, he is returning to AmeriCorps service after a career in state government.  As an avid railroad buff, Dwayne can often be found train watching in southern West Virginia--unless he's hiking or chasing an adopted hound.

 

Dwayne began his service at Glenwood in early September. He has been carefully scanning historic documents to preserve them & to eventually make them available online for public access.

 

We are so happy to have Dwayne taking the lead on this important project & look forward to sharing more details as the project progresses.
