Historic Glenwood sparkled with holiday lights and cheerful energy for the annual Open House,

welcoming nearly 170 guests over a crisp December weekend.

This year’s “Glenwood Aglow” theme saw the mansion decked out by Darrell Cadle with special

touches by Larry Tucker, with every room and mantle shining with creative holiday displays.

Entertainment included Marjie Foster on piano, the Biehle Family Violinists—who also sang for the first time—Jennifer Griffith’s piano debut, and lively jazz favorites by Mountain Range Jazz.

The Lucy Quarrier Weavers, led by Barbara Smith, shared their craft and answered questions, delighting visitors with weaving demonstrations upstairs.

The event’s success was thanks to dedicated volunteers, with special recognition for Darrell Cadle’s decorating talents and a warm welcome to new helpers Brian Marrs and Mary Halen. Traditionally, Historic Glenwood is open to visitors the first weekend of December. Mark your calendars now for this year’s special event!
